New York - Italians for the future: winners of the 1st New York Poetry Prize

New York - The New York Poetry Prize "Italians for the future" has successfully concluded. The Prize, which was inspired by the XXII MAECI week of the Italian language in the world and the 40th edition of the reading of poems in the Sicilian language, had the patronage of the Italian Embassy in the USA, the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute of the CUNY, and the General Council of Italians Abroad. The organizing committee was composed of the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in New York, Fabio Finotti, the Dean of Calandra, Anthony Julian Tamburri, and the Deputy Secretary General of the CGIE, Silvana Mangione, who chaired it. The Jury evaluated the hundred of papers received from various states, cities and municipalities in the United States. The organizers have launched the second edition of the award, which is open to multilingual and multi-generational poetry submissions. Poems must be submitted by June 30, 2023.
