Miami - “Fashion is Female: Lights on Italian Design as Cultural Legacy”

Miami - The Italian Cultural Institute and the Consulate General of Italy in Miami held an exhibition called "Fashion is Female: Lights on Italian Design as Cultural Legacy" on March 16 for Italian Design Day. The exhibition was organized with the collaboration of Istituto Marangoni Miami to honor the creativity and design excellence of Italian fashion. The exhibition showcases the creations of eight famous Italian stylists who have contributed greatly to Italy's artistic and artisanal heritage. The clothing by Elsa Schiaparelli, Sorelle Fontana, Fernanda Gattinoni, Mila Schon, Krizia, Lella Curiel, Laura Biagiotti and Miuccia Prada are displayed with light design elements and interior furnishings from well-known Italian companies such as Flos, Foscarini, Artemide Baleri Italia, and Kartell. The exhibition is open to the public Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, but reservations are required by calling +305 3746322 (1026). Schools and universities interested in visiting the exhibition can arrange for a short guided tour with the Consulate General during the month of April.
