New York The 3rd Bocce & Picnic Tournament will take place in Waterbury

New York - The 3rd Bocce & Picnic Tournament took place at the Pontelandolfo Club in Waterbury, Connecticut, on May 13th. Organized by Coni USA, Comites New York, and the Pontelandolfo Community Club, the event welcomed families and friends from the Italian and Italian-American community, as well as Italian language and culture enthusiasts in the Tri-State area. Participants from Waterbury, Torrington, Stratford, Prospect, Watertown, and Litchfield competed in the tournament. Tony Rubbo from Waterbury and Tony Poletta from Watertown claimed first place, followed by Joe Rinaldi and Jolly Rubbo from Waterbury in second place, and Giovanni Calabrese from Torrington and Michele Varrone from Waterbury in third place. The victorious Rubbo and Coletta team received an invitation to the grand final tournament in New York City next autumn. The next Bocce & Picnic Tournament will be held in Brooklyn on June 17th at Dyker Park's bocce courts.
