Manchester - Carnival celebration with Dante, Comites and the Nottingham School of Italian

MANCHESTER - The traditional Carnival party for children was held last Saturday, March the 4th, in Loughborough, organized by the local branch of the Dante-Alighieri Society of Loughborough and the Italian School of Nottingham. The Comites of Manchester also took part in the event, with its president, Gianluigi Cassandra.

Many Italian and non-Italian families attended the event, enlivened by lots of music, which also saw the participation of the musician Paolo Cimino, games and carnival activities that involved children in a pleasant and fun atmosphere.

Among the guests also the Honorary Consulate of Italy in Nottingham, who highlighted how important it is to preserve Italian traditions and learn the language, even while living abroad. At the end applause for the organizers, the teacher Alessia Beneventi of the Nottingham school, and for the president of Dante Alighieri, Gianluca Fanti, who, satisfied with the success of the event, highlighted that the proceeds of the evening will be entirely donated to the Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People already making an appointment for everyone for next year.
