LONDON - The Italian community residing in the consular district of London is still growing. According to data from the Consulate General, there were 369,278 Aire members in southern England and Wales as of 28 February, 3,598 more than in January.
In February, the London office issued 2,771 passports, 42 Emergency Travel Documents (ETD) and 116 proxies and authorizations for the issuance of passports to Aire members sent to police headquarters and other consular offices.
3,591 Aire files were processed in the month that has just ended: 1,667 for registration and 1,924 for change of address.
As for civil status files, in February the Consulate issued 509 birth certificates, 149 marriage/civil union certificates and 27 divorce certificates.
75 notarial deeds and 63 declarations of value issued. Finally, the Consulate processed 1,762 visa applications.
