Boston - Three years of pandemic: Alessandro Vespignani at the scientific aperitif of the Consulate

BOSTON - "Three years of pandemic: balance and perspectives between data, science and decisions" will be the theme of the next "scientific aperitif" organized in Boston by the Consulate General. Appointment on the 22nd of March from 5.30 pm in the Consulate with Alessandro Vespignani.

"After three years of the pandemic, it is important to think on the strategies put in place to manage the health crisis, on their effectiveness and on the margins for improvement for the future", reads the presentation of the meeting, proposed as an "opportunity for discussion and insight for all those who are interested in understanding the role of science and decisions in the protection of public health, in a historic moment of great challenge for global society".

Alessandro Vespignani lives in Boston, where he teaches at Northeastern University of which he directs the Network Science Institute. Since 2020 he has collaborated with WHO, the CDC, the White House and other national and international institutions in the response to the coronavirus. His latest book "The plans of the enemy" (Rizzoli 2020) tells the relationship between science and decisions during the pandemic crisis.
