America Buys Italian 2022: success for the ExportUSA and CCIA event in New York

ROME - Excellent results for America Buys Italian 2022, the first major incoming of US independent supermarket chains, organized by ExportUSA and Italy-America Chamber of Commerce of New York.

35 buyers and executives of the most important independent American supermarket chains took part in the event organized in recent days in Tabiano (Salsomaggiore, Parma).

Here, explains Federico Tozzi, DG of the Italian American Chamber of Commerce in New York, "212 business meetings were held, attended by 56 leading Italian companies in the dry (pasta and baked goods), frozen, dairy, preserves, wines, and spirits. An initiative that immediately paid off. An important turnout, which allowed us to understand what the American GDO is looking for and how it intends to distribute Made in Italy agri-food and wine products "and" private partnerships work well, especially when it comes to satisfying both the interests of companies, that of the counterpart. We are really satisfied ".

13 regions represented: Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Tuscany, Piedmont, Lombardy, Campania, Abruzzo, Marche, Sicily, Calabria, Lazio, Umbria and Sardinia.

"More than half, therefore, of the Italian territory has joined, entered into negotiations and - above all - learned how the distribution of F&B in the States is structured", added ExportUSA CEO Muriel Nussbaumer. "Knowing how the American consumer behaves and how he chooses what to buy, has been an important lever and teaching for everyone" and he continues "we will never be grateful enough to our sponsors: BPER Banca and Sfera Servizi who have decided to believe in this great event right from the start, albeit very shortly in advance, making an important economic and popular contribution ".

"A special applause - concluded Nussbaumer - finally goes to the Maserati team which hosted a company tour entirely dedicated to the executives of the chains: a training experience of one of the most important Italian car manufacturers. At the end of the company visit, drivers professionals accompanied our guests from Modena to the Tabiano Castle: a 360 ° journey into the automotive world, in short ".
