Comites meets associations in London

LONDON - More than 40 representatives of associations operating in London and its surroundings in favor of the Italian community present in the United Kingdom met last week in an event organized by Comites London.

The purpose of the event was threefold: to map those who offer services of various kinds so that a list of names and numbers can be created which is useful for those who live on British territory; introduce them to the Comites and its function in support of the community; and, finally, to create a moment of networking so that everyone could get to know each other and establish any forms of collaboration.

"It is the first time that the representatives of all these associations meet at the same moment under the same roof, that of the Italian Consulate in London, thanks to the hospitality offered by the new Consul General Domenico Bellantone", highlights the Comites of London which, through the president Alessandro Gaglione and, in particular, the directors Francesca Doria, Dimitri Scarlato and Rino Nola, coordinators of the initiative, were very keen on this meeting precisely to "try to create a real moment of sharing and collaboration with the aim of strengthening and increase the list of services for the community even more ”.

The aim, the Comites points out, "fits perfectly with Article 2 of the law establishing the Comites and which provides for the organization of activities with the aim of favoring subjects of various kinds operating in the area of ​​competence".

The meeting, they assure from London, "is only the first step: in the intentions of Comites, participating associations and the Consulate, there is a keen desire to implement actions and initiatives on various fronts, from cultural to sports and entertainment, welfare, social always with the ultimate goal of supporting the Italian community present in the United Kingdom from every point of view ".
