"With the help of a camera, we assessed compliance with speed limits, swinging wide and compliance with safety distances on over 22 lanes monitored in 6 locations in Italy. Over 357 thousand passages were detected, in 9.6% of cases with the speed limit exceeded; in 77.7% of cases distancing was not respected and in 55.2% of cases the lane was invaded". Some figures are worrying, to put it mildly. "12.3% of drivers do not drive with light-signaling devices on, 54.1% do not use their turn signal when overtaking, while 17% of drivers overtake even with a solid line," she explained. Among the behaviors to avoid while driving, there are 10.3% of Italians who make improper use of their mobile phones and 11.4% who do not even wear a seat belt.
