Many Italians abroad cannot meet or see their families even once a year due to lack of necessary money. Others need treatment but cannot get it for the same reason.
The Consulates do not have enough money to help o also to provide an adequate service to Italians abroad. However, hundreds of millions are sent and spent on other initiatives as we can see below following a report by FLP Affari Esteri at the Farnesina:
